Newmark India Completes First Year, Sets Sights on Sustainable Growth and Expansion
Newmark India completes its first year of operations and enters its second year with plans to expand its real estate capabilities, strengthen client partnerships and increase investments in technology, talent and sustainability.
Over the past year, the company has established its leadership and operating platform, expanded its presence across key markets and secured mandates from a diverse range of clients with varying real estate requirements.
With its initial foundation in place, Newmark India is now focusing on strengthening its business through deeper client relationships, greater integration across its service capabilities and continued investments in people, technology and operational excellence.
Since commencing operations, Newmark India has worked to combine Newmark's global capabilities with strong local market expertise. The company has established governance and operating frameworks, strengthened its leadership and delivery teams, and developed the capabilities required to support occupiers, investors and developers across markets.
Sathish Rajendren, Country Head RE & EMD, PM & FM – India & APAC, said, “Our first year was about building a strong foundation for Newmark in India. We have established our presence, built a strong team and, most importantly, earned the trust of our clients. As we enter our second year, our focus is to build on that foundation through deeper client partnerships, stronger capabilities and consistent execution. We want to build a business recognised not simply for its scale, but for the quality and measurable value of what we deliver.”
Newmark India's expansion comes as India's commercial real estate sector undergoes significant changes. The continued growth of Global Capability Centres, along with expansion across manufacturing, life sciences, industrial and logistics, and data centres, is reshaping real estate requirements.
Occupiers and investors are also placing greater emphasis on operational efficiency, workplace experience, sustainability and long-term asset performance.
In response to these changing requirements, Newmark India aims to bring its Property & Facilities Management, Project Management, Occupier Solutions and advisory capabilities together more closely. The objective is to provide clients with integrated support across the real estate lifecycle by combining on-ground execution with global expertise and consistent operating standards.
Technology will play an important role in the company's strategy. Newmark India plans to expand the use of data, automation and artificial intelligence across its operations, focusing on improved decision-making, predictive maintenance, asset performance and workplace experience.
Sustainability will also become an increasingly important part of its operating approach, with greater emphasis on measurable improvements in energy, water and waste management.
The company also plans to continue investing in its workforce through leadership development, professional growth and stronger operating processes. Its focus will be on developing teams with the expertise, agility and local market understanding needed to deliver consistent results for clients.
Additionally, Newmark India intends to strengthen collaboration across Newmark's global and APAC network, particularly to support multinational occupiers managing increasingly complex real estate requirements across multiple markets.
Rajendren added, “Our long-term opportunity is to make real estate a more strategic part of our clients' businesses. That means understanding not just their properties, but their people, operations and growth priorities. As we move forward, our ambition is clear: to strengthen our capabilities, deepen our partnerships and deliver outcomes that create lasting value for our clients.”
As Newmark India enters its second year, its strategy centres on strengthening operational capabilities, integrating services, adopting technology and building long-term client partnerships to support evolving commercial real estate requirements across the country.
